Daniel is 7 months!

I try to take a picture of Daniel each month on the 27th (the day he was born). So far, I've only missed August since that was when we were moving and everything was so crazy! But we got pictures of him around that time, just not on the actual day. Anyways, here are his 7 month pics taken Saturday night!

What a cutie! He is getting to be such a big boy. He always has big smiles and babbles a lot.

A close up. I think he looks just like Josh. He also has very blue eyes, and we have no idea where he got those! It definitely wasn't from my side!

Of course, Lindsay had to be included. I'm not biased or anything, but I think my kids are way cute in their jammies!

Folding his arms. What a big boy!

Favorite Uncle

Lindsay has a favorite Uncle, my brother Brian. He came up to Idaho in August. Here is a picture of the two of them...

Lindsay just thinks he is the coolest guy ever! Ever since last Christmas, every time we see him she just gets so excited. She has a little wallet sized picture of him and know's he's her uncle Brian! We're looking forward to Thanksgiving when we'll be together at my parents'.

Family Day at the dairy

In August our local Dairy had a family day. The kids and I went with my parents. Josh was working. We got to tour their facility, and Lindsay got to ride a horse for the first time ever! At first she wasn't too sure about it, but she didn't cry or complain at all. She just sat their with a solemn look on her face, so I'm not really sure how she felt about it. It sure was cute though!

Here is Lindsay at the petting zoo. She liked it more than I did! There was this crazy black sheep that kept following me, so I got out before the others did.

There was also a clown making balloons for the kids. Lindsay decided to be a butterfly. After waiting in line about 45 minutes in the sun, it was finally our turn! How cute is this!! Of course, the balloon popped as soon as we got in the car from the heat, but it was cute while it lasted.

Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without ice cream! Lindsay loves ice cream, even though she always makes a mess and rarely lets anyone help her. We all had fun!

A blinker!!!

This is what I woke up to this morning:
Lindsay: Mommy, mommy, there's a Blinker outside!!!
Me: A what?
Lindsay: A blinker, a blinker! Come see!
Me: Okay, just a minute.
Lindsay: Come with me!
Me: Okay, fine.
I'm sitting there thinking there's a police car with its lights flashing or something like that. I couldn't figure out what she was so excited about.
Well, we look out here bedroom window and there's the automatic sprinkler going.
Oh, to be two years old and have that much excitement.

Twin Falls Temple

So, almost two months ago we went to the open house of the Twin Falls temple. With all that has happened the last couple months, I'm just getting around to blogging it! It was just Josh and I, our kids and my parents. We had a great time! We went in my mom's company van so we didn't have to pay for the gas. We spent the night at their house the night before, and left their house about 9. It's about 2 1/2 hours to Twin Falls. It was very hot that day, and we didn't know we would have to wait outside before going in the temple. Luckily, none of us got burnt, especially Daniel. He didn't enjoy the sun. Lindsay freaked out when they put the booties on her shoes. She really didn't like that! She threw such a fit that she fell asleep! Which was fine with us, because she was quiet, but Josh's arms got tired by the end from holding her. We really enjoyed looking through the temple and look forward to the opportunity to visit again. Here are some pictures that I just got from my mom.

Daniel

Daniel is now 6 months! Some exciting things that are happening with him is he has been sitting up since the end of August, and he got a tooth on 9/11! It is the bottom left side front tooth. He has done really well with it. He is such a cute little boy. He is such a good baby and we love him so much! When Josh or I walk in the room, Daniel will say, "Hi Da....". We are not sure if he is saying Hi, Dad, or if he is trying to mimic us and saying Hi, Daniel. Either way, it is really cute! He is still nursing well, and we started baby food last week. He loves all the food and eats a whole container, which his sister never did. He even cries for more when it is gone. And if we are eating in front of him, he throws a fit until he gets some food. I think he's going to be a good eater! Which will be a nice change! Lindsay still isn't a good eater, which is evidenced by her only being 25 pounds. Daniel will catch up to her soon! At his six month appointment, he was 15 pounds, 3 ounces and 26 inches.
We are still trying to find doctors for the kids and I down here. So, if any of you have ever lived in this valley and have any recommendations, let me know!

Daniel and Lindsay at the zoo. They both liked it.
So did we! It was only $3 for the whole family!

Lindsay in the baby swing. She has to do everything Daniel does- Heaven forbid he get more attention, right?

This is what Daniel was doing while I was working on this blog today. Lindsay put her hat on him, and I think he looks cute!

Yes, I am still blogging!

So, after a month hiatus from this blog, I figure I better update it. So much has happened in the last month! About a month ago, I was looking around on monster.com, just searching for possible jobs for Josh. I bookmarked some that I thought looked interesting, and that night he applied for some. The very next morning, we get a call from HR for a company that we had applied for. I thought it was interesting that they called back so soon. That day, and the next, Josh had a phone interview, as well as another phone interview the following day. Then, the next Monday they had him come down to a personal interview. It went really well, and Wednesday we found out he got the job. We are excited because it is better pay and a lot better benefits. They gave us 2 1/2 weeks to move down here and get a place to live!
We found a manufactured home that looked really nice, and was in our price range. Then, we found out Utah Dept. of Transportation is building a highway right where that house is sitting! So, it would have been about $50,000 to have it moved and set up on a new foundation. So, that house was out. Then, we found another home that looked great, was in our price range, everything. We signed papers to do a rent-to-own and thought everything was going great. Well, at the last minute, the seller decided not to go through with the rent-to-own. It was Monday Sept. 1st, and Josh's first day of work was the 8th! So, we had a week to find a roof over our heads. (Josh did consider coming down with our tent, but soon decided against it.) Our realtor down here is awesome, and she found us a condo. It is for sell, and she is the agent selling it, but we are doing a month-to-month rental agreement. Which works out great for the sellers, so they are not making payments, and works out great for us until our house sells. We really like it. It has a garage, dishwasher, and central air conditioning, which are 3 luxuries I have never enjoyed before.
Josh really likes his job. He says it is challenging, but doesn't have any complaints. He likes the people he works with. Each Wednesday about 12 of them get together and make lunch for each other. So, on Wednesdays he only has to do a lunch every 12 weeks.
We are really enjoying being close to everything. We have a grocery store less than a mile away! It is such a change! There are also tons of restaurants/gas stations, everything we need. They are building a Wal-Mart about 1/2 a mile away, but we'll probably be moved before its done. I have mixed feelings about it. Sometimes it would be nice to have one that close, but I don't really want the increased traffic.
Lindsay seems to like living down here. What she doesn't understand is that we can't just go to grandma's or to her cousins house like we used to. We are still working on finding some friends.
Well, we would love to hear from everyone! I'll do better at keeping you posted!
