So I've added a list of all the books I've read starting October 2008. As you can see, I read a lot! I love reading and I read really fast. Right now I'm reading the "Left Behind" series, and I'm really enjoying it. It's not the usual type of book I read, but it is so good. I'm on the 9th book (there are 16 with the sequel and prequels), and I don't want it to end! I get all of my books from the library- really saves on storage/$!
A sad event happened last week. The family that lived across the street the entire time I was growing up lost their grandson. I went to school with his dad (he was 2 years older). The little boy was almost 4 years old, just about 8 months older than Lindsay. They are not sure what happened- he had been acting sick and wasn't oxygenating. Way sad. He had a twin brother. They are in our thoughts and prayers.
On happier news, this week is my grandpa's 86th birthday. We are going to dinner with my extended family on Saturday, and also going to the Draper Temple open house with my parents. We are excited for that!
Then the next weekend we are going to Idaho for Natalie and Christine's baby showers! They are the same day, but thank goodness, not at the same time. Lindsay is excited to see grandma and grandpa and Hannah.
Then the end of February is Daniel's birthday! We are doing a combined party with Remington, his cousin who is 5 days older! He's such a big boy!
I never thought I'd get to post this...but Daniel's crawling! Last night he saw a spoon and empty bowl (that did have ice cream in it), and crawled over to it! Yay! I knew he could do it when he wanted to! Then he proceeded to dip the spoon in the bowl and put it to his mouth like he was eating it. Too bad there was none left, huh? We love our little man.
Life is still fun at the Barrow house! Lindsay started Sunbeams on the 4th, and seems to really like it. She says they learned about, "I am a child of God," and goes through naming everyone she knows and says they are children of God. It is really cute.
New Years Eve Josh's parents and Logan and Lori came and we all went out to dinner for Josh's birthday. We thought we would try a local restaurant, Blackstone, but they were having a New Year's "special", and it was $35 for adults and $15 for kids! We walked right back out! We went to Sizzler instead and it was really good. Daniel loved the buffet and got stuffed! He is such a good eater!
Then my parents came this last weekend to celebrate Josh's birthday. They brought us my grandma's old dresser to use for Daniel. It is used, but it's in much better shape than the one we were using. We are excited for it. They also bought us a computer chair for Josh's birthday. It is so nice! We have been using a kitchen chair for almost 5 years now, and it wasn't the most comfortable thing. We love our new chair. We also got to go to dinner at Maddox's. It was so good! It isn't that far, about 25 miles, I just wish it wasn't through the canyon. We'd probably go there more often!
We have all had colds the past 2 weeks. Actually, I had been somehow avoiding it, but it just caught up to me yesterday. I can't wait for Spring.
Lindsay started storytime at the library. It is for 3-5 year olds and is once a week. She is the smallest one in there. She seems to really like it.
Daniel's birthday is coming up soon. He still isn't crawling, but he gets around by scooting and turning, and sometimes rolling. He made it from the living room to the kitchen and then proceeded to shut his fingers in the kitchen drawer. I can't believe he'll be one in about 6 weeks! It seems like he was just born.
