I got this off another blog and thought it would be fun...so, here's all about my first baby, Lindsay. I want to do one for Daniel to, for posterity.
1. Were you married at the time of the birth? yes
2. What were your reactions when you found out you were pregnant? Excited, scared. Josh said I looked like a deer in the headlights.
3. How old were you? 20 when I found out, 21 when she was born.
4. How did you find out you were pregnant? Home pregnancy test, then we went to Community Care and did a blood test.
5. Who did you tell first? Josh. We kept it a secret for about a week and then told our parents.
6. Did you want to find out the sex? Yes.
7. Due date: Originally October 18. Later, the doctor looked at the ultrasound, and since she was smaller, moved it to October 25.
8. Did you deliver child early or late? Late. I had her on October 30.
9. Did you have morning sickness? No, not really. Fried foods made me sick though.
10. What did you crave? Nothing, really
11. Who irritated you the most? No one in particular. It did get annoying when I was already days past my due date, and people were like, So, when are you due? I'd always say, Yesterday! The look on their face was kind of funny. It seems like people don't expect you to go over your due date nowadays.
12. What was your first child's sex? Girl
13. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? Honestly, I don't know.
14. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Nope. Everything went great!
15. Where did you give birth to your child? Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I love that hospital.
16. How many hours were you in labor? Well labor started about 4 pm on October 29. We went to the hospital about 8 pm, and she was born the next day at 12:12 pm. So, about 20 hours!
17. Who drove you to the hospital? Josh
18. Who watched? Josh, Dr. Barbara Nelson, and our nurse, Tammie
19. Did you take medicine to ease the pain? Yes, I had an epidural about 10 pm. It was great. Before the epidural, I also got a little stadol, but that did nothing for me. Didn't ease the pain, didn't give me any side effects. I had been warned by a friend not to take stadol, and I couldn't figure out why. Well, I found out why when I had Daniel! But I'll save that story for later...
20. How much did your child weigh? 6 lbs, 3 oz.
21. Why did you name him/her the name you picked? Her name is Lindsay Jean. Josh pretty much picked Lindsay, but we both liked it. The Jean is from his Grandma Priscilla Jean (she went by Jean), and my dad's sister, Rhonda Jean who died at 9 months old. I'm obviously named after her.
